SELF-INITIATED / UNOFFICIAL FAN CONCEPT
A world worth
stepping into.
A website study for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, pairing cinematic scroll chapters with a first-person visit to the Manor.

01 / THE IDEA
Let the game
set the tone.
The study asks how a game’s website can invite discovery while keeping its trailer, characters and store links easy to find. The visual foundation is actual game imagery and footage. Typography, pacing and interaction frame those materials without inventing new locations.
Scroll-controlled chapters introduce the expedition, then open into character stories, an image atlas and combat footage. Transitions between different locations are editorial chapter changes, rather than an invented continuous route.
02 / AN INVITATION TO EXPLORE
A room with
something to discover.
The optional Manor lets visitors move through a bedroom in first person. A portrait opens the cast and their stories; journals reveal spoiler-controlled summaries; display cases invite closer inspection of fan-made objects, including Maëlle’s rapier and Gustave’s pistol.
These displays are website interactions, not features added to the game. The journal records are paraphrased summaries, not a reproduction of the complete in-game text. The website and Manor remain connected through a persistent mode switch.
03 / BUILT FOR THE VISIT
Choose how far
to go.
The website works independently of the 3D room. Manor assets load only after a visitor chooses to enter, with a lighter texture option for smaller devices. Keyboard and touch controls support exploration, while the discoveries can also be read without entering 3D.
Music is optional and links to the official soundtrack. The original game footage, room port and fan exhibits retain their source credits. Twined’s contribution is the website experience and its browser implementation; the game and underlying artwork remain the work of their creators.
